The fifth annual Covington Garden Tour

The fifth annual Covington Garden Tour (on June 8th-9th from 11AM-4PM) is changing it up this year with the addition of some of Mutter Gottes neighborhood's finest gardens, in addition to the hidden gardens and architecture of Old Seminary Square and Westside neighborhoods. Garden enthusiasts will have an opportunity to experience Cincinnati Horticultural Society award winning gardens, beautiful water features, original garden art, beautiful landscaping and nature’s best, alongside clever and innovative urban gardening techniques from master gardeners.

Enjoy two days’ worth of beautifully manicured and meticulously established private historic gardens as well as modern art and modern approaches at some of the more updated historic rehabs in Covington; there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The gardens are a potpourri of sizes and styles, reflecting the varied interests of their owners. On this tour you will find a heavy emphasis on working with the environment and the community.

The self-guided Covington Garden Tour boasts some of the most beautiful iron work in the state, interconnected hidden pathways and secret garden gems open only to public view for two days out of the year, as well as master gardener attended approaches to urban farm gardening. New to the tour this year will be several gardens in beautiful Mutter Gottes neighborhood

Educational demonstrations on composting with Q&A will be held both days at the oldest community garden in Covington, the Riddle-Yates Garden on Jackson St., near Orchard Park, and a raffle for two beautiful arbor vitae trees will be drawn at the conclusion of the weekend tours, along with various gift packages and surprises.

Advance tickets for this fundraiser are available at a discounted price of $20 each online at up until the day of the event, when tickets will only be available for $25 at the event information booth, located at the corner of Russell and Robbins Streets.

Parking for the event will be available at the Carlisle Elementary School parking lot on Robbins St. The dates for the tour this year are June 8th & 9th, from 11AM-4PM, both days.
